We are half way through reading this book. I really like the summed up versions of popular bible stories. The stories had a great upbeat tone and were easy to follow and understand. My boys were always excited for their bedtime story.
This is an easy to read book for young kids. The illustrations are simple, clear and explain the stories well. Best of all, it's written in a style that kids can relate to. There's enough humor to keep their attention and explanatory in a way that captures their imagination. This book is a faithful description of spiritual events that should inspire youngsters to want to know more about God and Jesus.

This is a great way to present Bible stories to kids. It covers stories from the Old Testament as well as stories about Jesus. Before this book, my kids have had either "Children's Bibles" which cut the stories down to a few short sentences, and the full Bible, which is very difficult for them to read and impossible for them to be interested in.
I love Bible Adventure Stories because they are the actual, full stories, written in language that is engaging and accessible. My kids love reading this book! Can't wait for Book 2!!!
I like the idea of this presentation of Bible
stories, however it misses the mark if accurate interpretation and is important. There is a part where the author says something about God needing help because he was tired (or something close)so he had Adam help name the animals. (God doesn't get tired, he doesn't need man either) The author also suggests the reader think about how Eve would have turned out if she had been created from Adam's foot. The Biblical understanding is that Eve was made to be equal to Adam. I see these two examples as leading our children in false beliefs about the nature of God and the nature of the relationship between man and woman. I find that concerning.
good book. Great story telling. can't wait for the second half. we read it at night before bed. pretty accurate bible telling and kept it fun.
